Paul Christodoulides is an Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). He studied Mathematics at the University of Bath, U.K. He continued his studies to obtain a M.S. degree in Applied Mathematics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at the Université de Nice–Sophia Antipolis, France. He then worked as a Research Fellow at Monash University, Australia and as a Lecturer / Assistant Professor at Frederick Institute of Technology and the Higher Technical Institute, Cyprus, prior to joining CUT in January 2008. His research interests lie mainly in Fluid Dynamics, problems of energy and heat transfer and in applications of dynamical systems.
He has taken part in more than 20 European, national and other being the coordinator or local representative in many of them. Most of these projects have addressed issues of energy, environment and structures. He has over 130 article and book publications.
Paul Christodoulides has been constantly an active member of many university committees, most notably a member of CUT’s Board, CUT’s Senate, chairman of CUT’s academic staff (branch C) union and treasurer of the central committee of CUT’s academic staff union. He has also been temporary Editor-in-Chief of Renewable Energy Journal between 2014 and 2016 and substitute Cyprus delegate of IUTAM since 2012.
